Distancia 39.2 km ida y vuelta Duración 16-18 horas Nivel Alto Descripción del tour Día 1 – Viajeremos hasta la Comunidad de San Gerardo Para iniciar, usted deberá trasladarse en su vehículo o en bus, hasta la comunidad de San Gerardo de Rivas. Ya que desde aquí, será donde empieza nuestra aventura. Una vez en San Gerardo de Rivas Primeramente, comenzaremos con el registro, en las oficinas administrativas del SINAC, que es lo más importante. Ya que esto nos permitirá adquirir el permiso para ingresar. Es por esta razón que, todo turista necesita registrarse de manera obligatoria, el día antes de ingresar. Para aclarar, este registro es de manera personal, y debe realizarse en el transcurso de 8 am a 12:00 md y de 1:00 pm a 3:00 pm. Al momento del registro, se deberá presentar la cédula de identidad o pasaporte y código de reservación. Preparar maletas y descansar Después de registrarse en SINAC, se podrá hacer el check in en el hospedaje asignado. Luego si lo desea, podrá explorar la comunidad, visitando las cataratas, ir a un tour de quesos o bien, las aguas termales. Asimismo, si desea quedarse descansando y preparando todo lo necesario para esta increíble aventura, es otra buena alternativa. Chirripó Express Inicio de la caminata – San Gerardo – Base Crestones – Cima del Cerro Chirripó Primero, se iniciará la caminata por propiedades privadas, las cuales permiten llegar hasta el límete del parque y el cual es el sendero principal, para subir a la cima. Lo más importante es ingresar a este km, partir de las 3am. Llegada a Llano Bonito – Kilómetro 7.5 Después de las primeras 4 horas de caminata, se llegará al kilómetro 7,5 llamado Llano Bonito. Lugar donde se podrá comer un snack , tomar un descanso y usar los servicios sanitarios. Aquí será su primer punto de acceso, para recargar agua potable en sus botellas. Cada vez más cerca de Chirripó Llegada al Refugio Base Crestones En primer lugar, sientase orgulloso de su gran avance, descanse lo necesario. Recargue sus botellas de agua en las pilas del área de restaurante del Refugio. Luego, continue caminando a su paso por 5.1km, hasta llegar a la cima. El tiempo estimado de caminar, desde el refugio a la cumbre, es de 2-3hrs. Conquistar la cima del Chirripó Seguidamente, una vez conquistado el punto más alto de nuestro país. Definitivamente, saque la cámara para esa foto tan esperada en el rótulo, firme el libro, disfrute la vista de las lagunas. Absolutamente, tómese un merecido descanso, recargue baterías y ahora sí, inicie el descenso al refugio Base Crestones. Descenso Base Crestones- San Gerardo Después, al llegar al albergue, existe la posibilidad de comprar snacks y un café. Descanse lo necesario, procure salir antes de las 10am. Una vez llegada a la comunidad, se hará el registro correspondiente en la oficina de Aturena. Además, se entregarán las maletas con el equipaje para aquellos que deseen contratar el servicio con los arrieros y porteadores. Seguidamente, se conocerá el guía y se coordinará la hora de salida para Ena.   Día 2 – Inicio de Caminata San Jerónimo – Refugio Cerro Ena Para empezar, un transporte local nos llevará a la entrada del sendero del Cerro Ena. Se estima que la duración de la caminata es de 6-8hrs para llegar. Durante el recorrido se podrá ver los diferentes tipos de bosques y se podrá hacer observación de aves. Sin duda alguna, las vistas panoramas que el sendero ofrece, que nos dejarán sin aliento.   Día 3 – Descenso Cerro Ena – San Jerónimo Ten en cuenta que nos levantaremos temprano para ver el amanecer en el cerro Ena.
